During peak season, most hotels will need to be booked at least two months in advance. Your deposit will be required 45 days before check-in. In most cases, cancellations 30 days prior allow a full refund, but sometimes a 10-15% charge may apply. Cancellation with less than seven days' notice may result in a day's retention charge.
Popular routes fill up quickly during peak season or when limited flights operate between cities, so you should book three months in advance for group travel. For travel with two to three people, booking 45 days in advance is usually sufficient. Since our cancellation charges are based on actual costs incurred, as well as our administrative and communication expenses, the amount is usually nominal.
Train tickets must be purchased at the time of reservation, which can be made 30 days prior to travel. For superior trains like 'Rajdhani' and 'Shatabdi,' bookings open 60 days prior. Canceling three days before travel incurs a small reservation fee; 50% is charged for cancellations 24 hours in advance, and the full amount is charged thereafter.
